Parkinson's In-Home Care Services

Symptoms generally develop slowly over years. The progression of symptoms is often a bit different from one person to another due to the diversity of the disease. People with PD may experience:

  • Tremor, mainly at rest and described as a pill-rolling tremor in hands. Other forms of tremor are possible

  • Bradykinesia

  • Limb rigidity

  • Gait and balance problems

Dementia & Alzheimer's In-Home Care Services

Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, problem-solving and other thinking abilities that are severe enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia. Disorders grouped under the general term “dementia” are caused by abnormal brain changes. These changes trigger a decline in thinking skills, also known as cognitive abilities, severe enough to impair daily life and independent function. They also affect behavior, feelings, and relationships.

After Surgery In-Home Care Services

It is essential that post-operative care is received following a surgical procedure. Once discharged from the hospital, the risk for falls and mismanaged medication, as well as pain management needs, can significantly increase.

Cancer In-Home Care Services

Giving care and support during this time can be a challenge. Many caregivers put their own needs and feelings aside to focus on the person with cancer. This can be hard to maintain for a long time, and it’s not good for your health. Accepting help from others isn't always easy. But remember that getting help for yourself can also help your loved one—you may stay healthier, your loved one may feel less guilty about all the things that you're doing, some of your helpers may offer useful skills and have extra time to give you.
