Updated Visitor Guidelines (November 2021)

Visitor restrictions at our facilities are designed by location based on the number of active cases as well as the guidelines set forth by the state and/or counties.

• Temperature and symptom screening for anyone entering the facility. Visitors with symptoms are not permitted to enter our facilities. Visitors who have had a COVID-19 diagnosis in the last 14 days are not permitted to enter (symptomatic or asymptomatic).

• Masks required

• Physical/social distancing required

• Visitors must be age 18 or older

• Visitors may not use public spaces such as lobbies or the cafeteria

• Effective Thursday, October 8, at 7 a.m., we will be accompanying clients who may need to visit an emergency room.

  • Our staff will stay with your loved one until you or a doctor relieves the staff.

  • When visiting with our family member that we care for, visitor will need to be screened and will have to wear a mask at all times.

• Our staff will visit or accompany immunocompromised clients only upon the doctor's order.

• No Amaka Passion staff for COVID-19 positive patients unless approved by the healthcare team

What we are doing for patients and colleagues

The ongoing global spread of coronavirus disease in 2019 (also called COVID-19) is an emerging, rapidly evolving global public health concern. We are following 24/7 with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) along with state and local authorities to protect the health of your loved ones, the health of our workers, and the communities we serve. We continue to closely monitor the situation, and provide up-to-date information as it becomes available.

Steps we are taking to ensure we protect our clients and colleagues in all our care sites include:

• Encouraging those who are ill with fever, cough, or shortness of breath to call ahead to our care sites and requiring colleagues who feel ill to stay home;

• Following CDC guidelines for use of personal protective equipment (such as masks and gowns);

• Restricting visitors;

• Signage at entry points and in some cases, screenings; and

• Developing alternative locations for ill patients to get care.
